New regulations on registration of environmental remediation products used in aquaculture

According to Law on Fisheries and its implementing documents (effective from January 1, 2019), organizations and individuals producing and trading environmental remediation products used in aquaculture (remediation products) shall comply with the the following requirements:

  1. Being an establishment that has been granted a Certificate of eligibility on production/trading for remediation products
  2. Only remediation products products having ingredients approved by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) are allowed to be manufactured and traded.
  3. Be required to provide the product information on the National Fisheries Database. Remediation products are only allowed to be circulated on the market after being granted a receiving code on this system.
  4. Be required to declare the conformity for each type of remediation products according to the respective national technical regulations before being circulated on the market.

The required documents for the procedure of providing information on remediation products before being circulated on the market:

For remediation products manufactured in Vietnam:

  • The product information, the product label
  • Certificate of eligible on production of remediation products
  • Certificate of Analysis issued by the laboratories designated by MARD
  • Certificate of Conformity issued by the organizations designated by MARD
  • The basis standard issued by the manufacturer

For imported remediation products:

  • The product information, the product label
  • System management certificate (GMP, ISO,..)
  • Certificate of Analysis issued by the manufacturer
  • Certificate of Conformity issued by the organizations designated by MARD
  • Certificate of Free Sale

The scope of IntracoLaw’s work consists of the following tasks:
